Vasili Tsoutouras re-elected as President of AEPMA

AEPMA’s Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 29th June, 2016 at the national office.  Mr Vasili Tsoutouras was re-elected unopposed as President of AEPMA for the next two years.  Other elected delegates confirmed at the AGM were:-

Victor Morgan - National Vice President / National Director – WA 
Gary Stephenson - National Director - NSW
Tommy Stewart - National Director - VIC
John Graham - National Director - QLD 
Eris Hess - National Director – Associates/Treasurer
Trevor Scott - National Director – SA}  Shared
Neil Raw - National Director – SA}
David Gay - Immediate Past President
Stephen Ware - Executive Director

In addition to the above elected members, the AEPMA Board previously resolved:-
“That Pest management companies with more than 50 technicians be invited to nominate a representative to attend board meetings on a 12-month rotational basis".  Mr Mick Farr of Amalgamated Pest Control is the first company representative to fill this position.

In his address to the AGM, Mr Vasili Tsoutouras thanked his fellow directors and members of the industry for the honour of serving as AEPMA President. He indicated that the Association continued to kick goals on behalf of the membership.  He indicated that for small pest control operators, the website provided an extremely cost effective way for them to market their business to the general public with thousands of referrals going through the system every week.  Mr Vasili Tsoutouras also highlighted industry Codes of Practice that provided all AEPMA members with an added tool and an additional marketing arm to promote the services to members of the public.  Mr Vasili Tsoutouras thanked those members of the industry who had given their time and efforts towards putting together the codes, indicating they were a long term and ongoing benefit to the professional pest management industry.

Mr Vasili Tsoutouras also indicated that the coming 12 months would also be extremely hectic with the completion of the codes of practice in Training and Termites - Existing Buildings.  He also reminded members of the FAOPMA conference which was to be held in conjunction with the AEPMA conference which was shaping up to be a "NOT-TO-BE-MISSED" occasion.  Mr Vasili Tsoutouras indicated the incoming Board would also be working on initiatives in the food industry as well as a review of all aspects of the Association’s activities so as to continue to ensure AEPMA continued to deliver for its members.
