Ensystex’s vision is to be the 'first choice for environmentally responsible, effective, long-term pest management solutions'.
The AEPMA Sustainability Award is an annual event run by AEPMA and sponsored by Ensystex Australasia to promote sustainability in the wider pest management industry. This award highlights businesses that have successfully implemented innovative, cleaner initiatives, achieving measurable outcomes in preventing pollution, conserving energy and water, minimising waste, and maximising resource efficiency.
With the environmental challenges our planet faces today, there’s never been a more important time for our industry to lead with purpose. The professional pest management industry already plays a significant role in protecting human health, our buildings and our food supply. Now we must advance those practices with genuine environmental stewardship.
This award recognises real leadership in sustainable pest management - the practitioners who prove environmental responsibility and effective pest control work hand in hand.
With Australians focused on addressing climate change and treasuring our magnificent environment, sustainability efforts are not only being applauded but are being mandated. There is compelling evidence that a significant and growing segment of customers—particularly Millennials and Generation Z—is actively seeking environmentally responsible solutions. For businesses, this represents both a clear customer expectation and a strong opportunity for differentiation.
In order to be eligible for the Award, an applicant must be a licensed and practising pest management company in Australia. Any pest management firm operating in Australia is eligible to enter regardless of AEPMA membership.
Nominations for the 2026 season will open soon.
The selection committee looks for a holistic approach to sustainability - showcasing real, measurable improvements across areas such as:
The overall winner is the company that demonstrates the highest level of commitment to these measurable environmental and social standards.
