PestCert Membership Requirements

PestCert accreditation is open to businesses that agree to and maintain appropriate standards in three key areas: Employee Accreditation, Vehicle & Storage, and Facilities.

1PestCert Program Review

AEPMA is currently updating the PestCert Accreditation program to strengthen requirements and ensure the scheme remains aligned with current industry standards, regulatory expectations and best practice. As part of this review, the PestCert Induction Program is also being refreshed and enhanced for all new and existing members. Further information will be released as these updates are finalised.

2Continuing Professional Development

In accordance with the PestCert Rules, endorsed businesses must acquire 80 CPD points per annum for each technician. A firm may alternatively submit a training program drawn up by a registered training organisation.

3Auditing

A PestCert accredited organisation must be externally audited at least once every three years. If you are already externally audited to an ISO system or equivalent, it is possible for the existing auditor to sign off on the PestCert Accreditation Scheme.

4PestCert Management System

The requirements are grouped into four sections: quality management, vehicles and equipment, chemicals and environment, and animal welfare. Essential elements must be complied with by all participants.

5Other Requirements

Maintaining up-to-date versions of external documents is essential. PestCert accredited organisations must have current copies of all relevant PestCert documents and Australian Standards on site.
