The AEPMA NSW ACT State Council meeting was held in Hawks Nest, NSW on Saturday 6th February, 2016. The Council thanked Mr Stephen Ware for his attendance at the meeting and taking the minutes.
Discussions took place on many topics such as Pest Manager of the Year awards for 2016. The entries are now open. Stephen Ware indicated that the award was growing and that those who had won the award in the past had done a great deal to publicise AEPMA to the wider community and the wider community had a better idea of the Pest Management industry. There were great marketing benefits for the businesses who have won the Awards.
So if you think you could do it….fill in your entry now!
Other items of discussions included the new Codes of Practice (3 of them) which are to be released soon for comment, PMITAG NSW activities, PestCert, the recently released Training package for the Pest Control Industry and EPA NSW Licencing. The NSW State Council will invite EPA and RTO’s to several workshops on licencing and training packages in May to get an update on these matters.
Joint FAOPMA/ AEPMA National Conference 14-16 September, it will be an incredible experience and make sure you start planning for it soon. Go to the AEPMA website for more details.
The Photographic Competition is well underway with several photographs entered already - mostly from QLD.
Entries close on the 31st March, so now’s the time to take the shot!!!!
Take pictures on the job (must be about Pest Management). We all have had something that we wanted to show our colleagues. A great thank you to Kevin Parsons (Globe) and Wendell Arnett (Bayer) for the production of the new flyer.
The State Council again thanked Mr Shane Reynolds for his efforts in organising the annual meeting in this beautiful part of NSW. We also thanked Life Member Mr Greg Moon again for serving on the National Board.
The NSW ACT Branch AGM will be held at 3pm on Friday 6th May, 2016 at the training room Agserv in Sydney. It is the time for me to remind members that …… you can make a difference by being involved whether be at State Branch, National Board or being involved in AEPMA projects.
Please don’t be shy! Talk to me or any of your Council members or the National Office.
An email will come out shortly to members with details and nominations forms.
Hope you are all well and having a great and busy Pest Management season
