David has been President of AEPMA for 7 years and on the National Board for ten. David has made an enormous contribution to the Association and will continue to do so. In this past year we have also progressed our two new CoP’s that address termite management, to almost complete first drafts, that hopefully will be then ready for expert technical working party review and completion prior to our conference next year.  (Read more)

Starrdust® PRO – Leaves Others in the Dust!

“In 35 years of pest management I’ve never seen a dust do what this does,” said Mr Neil Raw, owner of Innovative Pest Control SA, Adelaide.  “I was gobsmacked!”

“The team at Sundew Solutions asked me to take Starrdust®PRO to the worst, most difficult commercial situation I had on my books and put the product through its paces. Don’t take this to a ‘soft’ test site I was told.”

“The moment I applied Starrdust®PRO there was an immediate response.  German roaches came flooding from within the commercial appliances I had applied the product.”

“The shear flushing action of the product was astounding.  My client told me that the following day roaches were still coming out and dying.  The client named it ‘magic dust’.”

Starrdust®PRO Insecticidal Dusting Powder Industrial Strength is the latest product from Sundew Solutions, a family enterprise, 100% Australia owned and operated.  It is the world’s only dual active dust incorporating an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) triflumuron with a double strength permethrin 40:60 cis to provide up to 12 months control of pest insects.  Starrdust®PRO is revolutionary because it combines a powerful knockdown adulticide was well as a long lasting IGR larvicide.  (Read more)

Product Launch – Fury 120 SC General Household Insecticide

FMC have launched Fury 120 SC General Household Insecticide into the GHP market which is set to provide a new standard in the industry.

Another blow for employer discretion

Thinking about introducing compulsory health assessments to mitigate safety risks in the workplace? Well think again. In light of a recent Fair Work Commission (FWC) decision, employers face more red tape when it comes to implementing preventive strategies for addressing workplace health and safety.

After previous unsuccessful efforts to reduce high injury rates amongst heavy vehicle drivers, a transport company sought to introduce compulsory health assessments. The results of the assessment would go on each employee’s health file and be used to evaluate the level of risk in performing their duties.  (Read more)

Fipronil foam in a can – I’d like to see that!

Sherwood Chemicals have introduced an Australian first for the eradication of termites with the launch of a ready to use Fipronil aerosol foam formulation. According to Sherwood Chemicals Australian General Manager John Ralph,
