Update from Rapid Solutions

03/04/2020

In uncertain and unprecedented times such as these, it is more important than ever that our industries and communities stand together. This is our best chance of stopping the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and soften the economic impact of lock downs and prohibitions to life as we know it.

Rapid Solutions’ commitment to its stakeholders remains unwavering. The health and wellbeing of our employees has of course been paramount, as has supporting our clients and industry partners in whatever ways we can.

As the global pandemic was declared, one of the early casualties in our industry was the deferral of the 2020 AEPMA industry conference to September 2021 – surely a very difficult decision for AEPMA to take, but on balance of the facts as they were emerging, and from what we know now, it was clearly the right one.

For Rapid Solutions, who have for some time now collaborated with AEPMA on industry conferences by running ours on alternate years, the decision was immediate and simple. We extended our full and immediate support, putting our 2021 conference plans on ice. In time, we will discuss with AEPMA how we can support their deferred event.

Our focus now is navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, with our number one priority being supporting our clients and their businesses. how to run a covid aware business

One of the first shifts to emerge was the demand for cleaning and sanitisation services. Our clients have been telling us that their customers want to use contractors they already know and trust that can perform multiple services for them.

We worked quickly with our insurer Pacific International Insurance Pty Limited to update our cleaning endorsement so that it would accommodate the Government’s requirements and give our clients peace of mind they would have cover for this activity.

This cover is now an option for pest controllers who satisfy the underwriting guidelines and our team is working hard to provide quotations and put cover in place as seamlessly as possible.

More information can be found on our website regarding cover for COVID-19 cleaning.

Rapid Training is also seeing an uptake in demand for online training. As one of the few providers who offers a complete online solution, our doors remain open and we are working with students who have commenced a face to face course and wish to transfer to our online delivered course.

We are also supporting students and employers whose businesses are experiencing reduced demand, to suspend their training until they are able to return to work and study.

More information can be found on our website about online training and the support available to our current students.
